We are hiring
  • Mechanical Product Design Engineer
  • Your daily schedule will include frequent interactions with the Electrical and Software colleagues on cross disciplinary decisions, directly reporting to CTO.

    Job Scope

    • Design and Implement overall Mechanical Systems of Autonomous Platforms: Hover Capable Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (ROV+AUV variant) and Autonomous Surface Vessel
    • Design of mechanical components, mechanisms and electronics housings in AutoCAD
    • Conduct Finite Element Analysis Simulation on design components for structural integrity and stress failure assessment.
    • Drafting of 2D drawings for fabrication and assembly.
    • Assembly and testing of designed mechanical components in the workshop and testing in real world environments.
    • Sail out to sea for testing and evaluation of completed mechanical designs and other robotic systems.
    • Gather user requirements in collaboration with management team and end customers
    • Establish test procedures for mechanical quality control and regulatory compliance

    Desired Qualities and Skillsets

    • 1-5 years experience in mechanical product design from concept to product delivery to customers
    • Proficient in SolidWorks or equivalent engineering CAD design software
    • Experimented with prototyping and various manufacturing methods ranging from 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC, welding, composites etc
    • Experimented with Computational Fluid Dynamics simulation modelling such as SolidWorks, ANSYS, OpenFOAM or equivalent simulation software
    • Experience with corrosion control methods and thermal design methods is a plus
    • B.Eng in Engineering (Mechanical), or related experience

  • You will report directly to the Electrical Lead.

    Your daily schedule will include frequent interactions with a multi-disciplinary team and you need to be equally comfortable working at sea trials and a normal desk in the office.

    Job Scope

    • Design and Implement sub-components of our Hovering Autonomous Underwater Vehicle and Surface Vessel.
    • PCB Design of Electronics boards for interfacing, operation and control of our vehicles.
    • Power electronics design to various system components, sensors and actuator systems.
    • Wire harness and cabling design and production drawing generation(2D and 3D).
    • Firmware development on microcontrollers such as Atmega and ARM for real-time control of hardware components.
    • Bench-testing and field testing of key sensors and components for integration to our vehicles.
    • Carry out intensive bench and in-water testing of our vehicles, and document performance.
    • Stress testing of system components for harsh environment operations such as thermal, vibration, EMI-EMC and humidity.
    •  Gather user requirements in collaboration with management team and end customers.

    Desired Qualities

    • 1-3 years of experience designing and implementing Electrical Architecture of robotic systems.
    • Experience with battery operated designs, embedded systems, microcontrollers, sensor and actuator interfacing.
    • Experience with low voltage power electronics design for battery operated systems (power regulation, boost/buck conversion, power protection, load balancing etc).
    • Experience with Altium designer and other equivalent PCB CAD software.
    • Experience with any 2D schematic, wire harnessing and cable assembly design software.
    • Experience with C++ for embedded systems programming and development.
    • Knowledge of python is a plus for high level interfacing and algorithms development.
    • Experience with git and version control systems.
    • Experience with quality control and test procedures for tests such as in EMI-EMC, Vibration, temperature, humidity testing is a plus.

  • You will report directly to the Operations Lead.

    Your daily schedule will include frequent interactions with members of a multi-disciplinary team. You are meticulous, hardworking, and equally comfortable working at sea trials, and a normal cubicle in the office.

    Job Scope

    • Operate our marine vehicles for inspection of customers’ underwater infrastructure in a very new way from the current method of doing things with greater robotic intelligence vis-à-vis manual pilot skill dependent.
    • Operate the system as an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle instead of a Remotely operated vehicle.
    • Help to develop and contribute to the concept of operations for Autonomous Marine work.
    • Prepares field equipment pre and post deployments
    • Assists Engineering in investigating and resolving on-site and off-site issues and tickets.
    • Assist Engineering with electrical and mechanical integration and assembly of production parts.
    • Assist with Logistics, such as updating of administrative documents

    Desired Qualities

    • Active learner, with a demonstrated interest in autonomous intelligent machines / robots
    • Practical hands-on experiences
    • Technical certificate of competence (NITEC/Diploma)
    • Driver’s license
    • Skipper/Steersman license is a plus point
